The years Bruce
Oberle spent as a broadcaster, entertainer, and musician prepared him to be
one of FranklinCovey’s most dynamic consultants. Bruce is passionate about
the life-changing principles he teaches. Participants comment that his

Bruce has a broad
and varied work history. Prior to joining FranklinCovey in 1995, he produced
and acted in over 50 training videos for industries including
pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, retail, government, and communication. Bruce
worked as Producer and Development Director for the Public Broadcasting
System (PBS) in central New York. He also logged more than 2,000 hours of
live broadcast experience at PBS and set several fundraising records for
mid-sized markets. Bruce has also been a disc jockey.
Bruce spent nine
years as a production planner in a manufacturing plant and seven years as a
contract trainer for a number of premier training organizations including
Development Dimensions International (DDI), Carlson Learning Systems, Zenger-Miller,
and Lee Hecht Harrison.
Bruce has worked
successfully with many clients including a number of Fortune 500 and 100
organizations representing a variety of industries in the private sector. He
has also worked with government agencies, law enforcement agencies, and
three branches of the military. Bruce has worked with non-profit
organizations as well.
Bruce earned a
B.A. from California Coast University in business. He has also studied
broadcast journalism. Twice, Bruce has received an Award for Excellence from
the U.S. Army 9th Theatre Support Command for his outstanding training and
consulting work.
Bruce holds
certifications in Myers Briggs Type Indicator, DISC Personality Profile, and
he is a master trainer of Interaction Management.
Bruce and his
wife, Charlene, live on Lake Norman near Charlotte, North Carolina. He
enjoys playing 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s hits on the keyboard, as well as
relaxing, cooking, and entertaining on a ponto boat.
